Beneficii

✅ The gift, a tea set for 3 people, made of fine Arzberg porcelain from Bavaria, is unique.
Festively packaged with a golden ribbon, it will impress at first glance and make the giver unforgettable.
✅ The tea set was produced between 1950 and 1960 by the Arzberg company in Bavaria and is decorated with gold. Despite its 75-80 years, the porcelain is impeccable, with no signs of use.
The geometric or plain border is made by applying a thin layer of gold, using a special technique, over the glaze. The gold provides that specific metallic luster that cannot be reproduced with ordinary paints.
With its simple, practical shapes, the set remains modern and unsurpassed today. It is timeless, as Arzberg Porcelain designer Dr. Hermann Gretsch intended back in the 1930s: good form for every day.
✅ What the gift set contains
✅ Tea (or coffee) set, Arzberg brand, Bavaria, from the 50s-60s
* Elegant teapot, with classic lines, made of exceptionally fine porcelain that feels silky to the touch. The white porcelain is decorated with a gilded border and geometric designs of fine black lines. Classic and timeless, this tea set gives the impression that it was created yesterday, so modern and beautiful it is, preserved in impeccable condition. The teapot has a cylindrical lid, a particularly rare design for tea sets of the 50s-60s.
* 3 elegant tea cups, exceptionally beautiful in their simplicity
* 3 saucer plates for cups, simple, with a narrow, golden border, over which small geometric shapes are outlined in black
* 3 plates for snacks or dessert
* Carafe for milk or cream
* Sugar bowl with a cylindrical lid, similar to the teapot's lid, which gives the piece a special elegance
✅ Brief history of Arzberg porcelain manufacturer, Bavaria
* Arzberg Porcelain Company was founded in 1887 and for decades internationally represented the philosophy of "good form for every day." The practicality of the pieces, their clear and simple forms created by renowned Arzberg designers, have stood the test of time, remaining current and unfashionable today.
* Dr. Hermann Gretsch was the Arzberg designer who brought novelty to the German porcelain market when it was at its peak. He created timeless designs, among them Form 1382.
* Rosenthal's (formerly Arzberg Porcelain) Model 1382, designed by Dr. Hermann Gretsch in 1931, is still produced and sold today, unchanged. No other tableware in German industrial history can boast such long-lasting, uninterrupted success.
* The designer of Model 1382, Hermann Gretsch, was an architect and ceramist. His concept for "good form" was, in his own words: "In the future, we can no longer afford to bring things to market that no longer bring joy to the consumer after a short period of time, because they are impractical, outdated, and unattractive." It was under this premise that this porcelain was created, which has lost none of its fascination and beauty over time, which practically defines the Rosenthal brand: an unmistakable original, above all trends and fashion. Gretsch died unexpectedly, and Heinrich Löffelhardt was brought in as artistic director in 1952. He continued the practical, never-outdated style specific to the Arzberg company.
* During Löffelhardt's era, the Arzberg factory was very successful, and its design became characteristic and influenced other models during Germany's economic miracle. Löffelhardt was interested in functional, clear, rigid, and timeless design, which today would give rise to minimalist design.
* In 2013, the traditional Arzberg brand was acquired by Rosenthal, the world's best-known porcelain. In 2024, Rosenthal made the strategic decision to consolidate its brand structure: in the future, Arzberg Cucina and Tric models will be managed under the Thomas brand, while Form 1382 and Joyn will be integrated into the Rosenthal label. Through this integration, Rosenthal aims to give the four successful Arzberg series even more visibility and universality. The high quality and outstanding design of the collections will remain unchanged.
✅ PACKAGING
* Gift box, festively wrapped
* Golden ribbon
* Wood wool filling
* Card with the history of the antique porcelain manufacturer, as described above
NOTE: The pieces are vintage. Since the decoration is real gold applied over the glaze, it is essential not to put the pieces in the dishwasher or microwave to prevent flaking or damage to the precious metal.
